What is the turnaround time for having you write our press release or article?
It takes our team of writers 3 – 5 business days to turn around a draft press release, and it takes our editor another business day to edit the release and get it sent to you for approval.
Can I make the links nofollow?
We can inform our network that we would like certain links to be no follow but we cannot guarantee that this will happen because once the press release is syndicated hundreds of sites are going to post your article and we cannot control what they set the links to. For this reason we suggest using naked urls and branded anchors in your press release.
Do you accept foreign link anchors?
We do not accept links to foreign-based websites as all the articles are written in English. While our primary newswire is definitely designed for the English-speaking North American news market (US and Canada) we do have well-established English-language local news distribution partners in Australia, Europe and India.
I have received my syndication reports, but now some of my links are gone; is this normal?
Most likely many of your links are still live (and will continue to be live until the end of time or the demise of the Internet...whichever comes first), although these will be the links closer to the bottom of your report. The links closer to the top of your release are your premium site links, which will generally begin to disappear after about 2-3 months. Premium sites generally purge their older releases on a quarterly basis, which causes the links to become dead. Because Google is always searching for the latest news in order to stay relevant, we recommend purchasing a press release quarterly.
Do you offer a discount for purchasing multiple press releases?
Yes, we offer a healthy 20% discount when you purchase 4 or more at the same time. We will hold unused items as credits for up to one year from date of purchase.
Who is Sterling-Holtby Public Relations?
Unless you have added on the "Private Label Media Contact" option, your press release will be sent out by Sterling-Holtby Publicity Relations and will be noted at the bottom of the release as the Media Contact of record. For most of our clients, this adds an extra layer of distinction upon your business and brand (You have a public relations company that handles your media outreach!). Within the body of your release we also include a standard company "boilerplate" statement that usually includes your brief company description, website and contact information, this way journalists and others can contact you directly. Any contacts made directly to Sterling-Holtby on your behalf will be forwarded to you. This is rare and mostly are solicitations.
You may replace the Sterling-Holtby contact information with your own information by choosing the Private Label Media Contact
add-on for $20.
